peace in montréal – Starky Morillo

Spring away from home

a mélange of languages

old rues, new to me—

calming, rendezvous-free days

camouflaged in April’s dew

I like the contrast between this poem and Christine’s. Similar topics, different sentiments. But I especially appreciate this one. Some times, getting away, alone to a new place can be the best thing for a troubled mind. Hope you enjoyed Montreal.

niice, glad you guys liked it. montreal was good, but it was in april! i was kicking myself for not having submitted this before. but yea, it’s probably no so much the new place itself as the anonymity that comes with it. it’s liberating.
