I spent the past 11 days on vacation in San Francisco, Napa Valley, Berkeley, Los Angeles, Yosemite, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon. I recently returned from a week-long trip to Holland. I had never been to the Netherlands before and my time there offered me a glimpse into a very different society. When I wasn’t busy being amazed at the Medieval, Gothic, and Renaissance art and architecture, I was being shocked by three facets of Dutch society, which are radically different from our own.

Day-long drunkenness, late night cigarette breaks, and routine outdoor adventures, are all what make this season one of hedonistic binging. It’s personally why I love it so much.
