People Watching
A Monday night at Nielson. The only empty table on the lower level is to our right, and we are seated and laughing, Marlana (me) across from Matt next to Kine across from Hanna next to me. Matt’s eyes pop up suddenly, and his hand raises to wave. I peak over my shoulder to see his roommate Will walking by, tray in hand. How I Spent My Thanksgiving Holiday: Perceptions of Middle America – Dan Bracaglia

I had the fortune (or more like the misfortune) of spending my Thanksgiving Holiday en route to and ultimately in Louisville Kentucky. Now I am not sure if Kentucky is even considered Middle America, but as far as my travels are concerned, it is.  Why you ask, was I in such a peculiar place on such a day of thanks and giving?  No I was not visiting family, I was actually preparing to photograph an early morning Rutgers football game the next day.

Cancer Research Continues – Julia Barbour

Bright red messenger bags and their hosts flit from room to room bearing three very different messages: professionalism from pharmaceutical emissaries; academia from doctors and; collegiality from those waiting with bated breath for conference presenters to cure Cancer before their eyes.

Baking 101: Pumpkin Loaf, Chocolate Muffins, Banana Bread

Manchurian Chicken
By Sayani Das Chaudhuri
I am a carbohydrivore. I will never give up my carbohydrates, whether it’s in the form of rice, noodles, and of course, breads of ANY kind. Baking is a wonderful respite from teary eyes from chopping too many onions, and cutting your fingers while chopping said onions. I’m very new to baking, about a month or two in, but I’ve compiled a list of favorite recipes that are perfect to bring to a potluck dinner, or even to munch on late at night. Late night snacking …

Top Picks from the Internet

#1 – This search engine: TinEye.com – while it is currently in its beta stage, TinEye is showing great possibility as one of the only existing reverse image search engine. It’s pretty incredible, really.  Can’t wait until it gets huge!

#2 – This t-shirt: Human Being T-shirt available on origin68.com. The company is based in the UK, so if you want to buy this shirt, realize it’ll cost you more than you’d hope. That, and you’re shipping it to the US. Either way, it’s creative and awesome.

#3 – This photo: Sarah …

Talking with Bobby, Chase and Ross of The N Result

Last week, we sat down with Bobby Tarantino (bass), Chase Innis (MC) and Ross Lippencott (lead vocals) of New Brunswick’s own The N Result. The six man ensemble also includes Dan Bascom (lead guitar) and Nate Sankary (percussion), who were sleeping late, and Eitan Levine (keys) who was in Atlantic City at the time, both behavioral traits particularly common in college kids and rock stars. All band members, excepting Chase who graduated from Fordham, are Rutgers affiliated. Talking to these three guys, you really get the impression that they are …
