The New Brunswick Arts and Culture scene is alive and well. Finding that scene, however, can sometimes be difficult. This page is aimed at supporting local artists, by establishing a space for showcasing artistic talent and making info relevant to local artists publicly available. By publicizing the work of local artists and local events, the Johnsonville Press hopes to make Arts and Culture more accessible to the community at large. If you are interested in publishing your art (cartoons, drawings, paintings, photos, music, portfolios, poems, short stories, etc.) please contact us at johnsonvillepress@gmail.com.
Exactly what you might expect to find in an editor’s office: Booze, Cartoons and highly opinionated drivel …
Essays have long been an integral means of expression for the American intellectual tradition, dating back to the work of Emerson, Whitman, and James. Considering the close relationship of the Johnsonville Press to Rutgers University, one of America’s premier academic institutes, submission of essays are encouraged by the Johnsonville Press, especially from our academic readership. If you would like to to submit an essay for publication, please contact us at johnsonvillepress@gmail.com
All essays are open to public domain reproduction, in the interest of making the knowledge therein accessible to readers who may find its content useful. However, neither the Johnsonville Press nor any of its affiliate groups or writers are responsible in any way for the use of these free materials by an outside party not in accordance with the internal policies of any institution(s). By submitting an essay, the writer submits his or her work to the public domain.
Submissions in the form of an opinion or letter to the editor will be listed here. Letters are meant to cater to a more casual readership, who may want to contribute on an independent basis. If you would like to submit a letter to the editor, please contact us at johnsonvillepress@gmail.com.

Part of the goal of the Johnsonville Press is to shed further light on the goings on in the local community. Until now, no group has made available a space explicitly for the presentation of relevant, subjective community reported news in New Brunswick. This page was designed for that purpose. If you would like to submit an article explicitly concerning New Brunswick, please contact us at johnsonvillepress@gmail.com
“Better than sex”, as Dr. Hunter S. Thompson once noted. At Rutgers, diversity of individuals has inevitably led to diversity of political thought and opinion. As such, we aim to bring together these differing views in the interest of promoting political discourse and debate. If you would like to submit an article for this section, please contact us at johnsonvillepress@gmail.com
R U opinionated? Rutgers University is the home base of the Johnsonville Press. To date, all columnists have been affiliated with the University in some sense. However, from a legal standpoint, no affiliation exists; the opinions expressed herein are those solely of the writers, and not the University at large. The content of this page is aimed at promoting an understanding of the inner practices at Rutgers, and providing information about the school useful to those who attend and work within it. If you would like to submit an article about RU, please contact us at johnsonvillepress@gmail.com
