pills pill, too many pills
all i see, purple hills, no gun.
feel sick, call nine-one-one
make this all come un-done, im numb.
prescribe me lithium
pump my stomach, succumb my fear
this is all too un-clear.
shit, EMS is here. no pain,
no second to explain
rehab for the insane, i guess?
caught in a fucking mess
i drag, i must confess to you
my lips were black and blue
no speedball, cocktail brew sipp-ing
i wish helped time pass-ing
but count-ing and losing my grip
this is all one bad trip.
i trip, i fall, red lip, no gun.
someone call nine-one-one.

Below you’ll find a recent composition by longtime Johnson Family member Christine Tran. Christine, apart from being a talented spoken word lyricist, is also a key player on the Rutgers Women’s Tennis squad, who just finished fourth in last week’s Big East Tournament. Tran’s blow out match against UConn was clutch in bringing home the number 5 ranked Scarlet Knights with honors. Congratulations to all the girls of Rutgers Women’s Tennis for so well representing the Dirty Jerz in a sport OTHER than football.

your misconception of me is too plain to see
stereotype my dark complexion and thin eyes
then you realize i do not speak science and math
but utter words of stanzas and syllable counts.
